Treatment Under Sedation
For people with mild to moderate and severe anxiety, all treatments offered in our office can be provided under sedation upon request. For mild anxiety in adults and children, we offer nitrous oxide sedation (also known as laughing gas). It is the safest form of sedation because once the nitrous gas is turned off, and oxygen is turned on, within 3 minutes, the patient will be back to their original state. For more anxious adults, we also offer oral sedation (triazolam) or combined sedation (both oral and gas). In both instances, the patient will have to be driven to and from the practice by another responsible adult.
